Information about our Kennel: Bear Creek Kennels has been in operation since 1978. First opened by Ed and Eloise Dewar, where Labrador Retrievers were bred and Training Classes occurred. Eventually the Dewars were asked to "watch" or "mind" their dog that they had purchased from Bear Creek Kennels, hence the beginning of Bear Creek "Boarding" Kennels. Our kennel is well established with its reputation. Now owned by the Jeanneault Family. Mainly operated by Kathy and part time employees Mary, Marion and eldest son Matt. The kennel is situated only 3 minutes off highway 11 south (on your way to Powassan) Your dog not only enjoys the country air, but also is safe away from the traffic of the busy streets. Our kennel has three safe and enclosed Doggie Parks where dogs can get out to play. Two with cut grassy yards, trees and plenty of toys. Each dog has their own individual runs or if they come from a home together they can be bunked together. Each run on the outside of the East side is 4' wide by 12' long, while the runs on the West side are 4' wide by 16' long. The kennel is kept cool in the summer hours and cozy warm in the winter time. Rates: I One dog $12.00 per day Two dogs together $22.00 per day Three dogs together $30.00 per day What is considered a day? If you pick your dog up by noon during operational hours their is no charge for that day. If you pick your dog up between 12:01 pm and closing on any given day the charge is a regular days charge If you drop your dog off between opening hours and 6:00 pm you are charged a regular days rate. If you drop your dog off after 6:00 pm during operational hours we do not charge you for that day.
Hours of Operation: Summer Hours: Monday,Tuesday,Thursday,Friday 8:00 am until 8:00 pm Wednesday 8:00 am until 10:00 am (closed the rest of the day no exceptions) Saturday CLOSED Sunday 11 am until 7:00 pm
Recommendations: We pride ourselves on word of mouth. Bear Creek Kennels hasn't advertised for boarding in over 10 years. We strongly suggest you contact your veterinarian before boarding your dog with us or anywhere for that matter. Clientele: W Our clientele consists of many professionals such as Veterinarians, Physicians, Dentists, Lawyers, Professors, Humane Society Staff, Business Owners, Military personnel and many others.

Headed South (from North Bay)- Go down Highway 11 South to the sign that says the Municipality of Powassan which is across from High view Golf Course, at the Golf Course turn right off the highway onto Peever Line, go straight up Peever Line 2 mins to the stop sign, at the stop sign turn left on Oakwood Road, we are 3rd place on left #430.
